In the previous article “How RAB-regulation will affect the Ukrainians” we were explaining the nature of the RAB-regulation in the electric power industry. It is to be recalled that RAB is a stimulating investment tariff for electricity transmission based on the Regulatory Asset Base (RAB), which is proposed for implementation in Ukraine.

In this article, we will consider some of the arguments of supporters and opponents on RAB-tariffs, all for and against, and try to figure out what is true of this, and what is the usual myths and speculations.
