September 21, a round table “Long-term governmental forecasting in Ukraine. Why it doesn’t work and what should be done?” was held at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future. The discussion was attended by Oleksiy Skrypnyk – people’s deputy, initiator of creation of the Commission on the future of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the co-founder of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future (UIF); Natalia Gorshkova – Head of the Department of economic policy and macroeconomic forecasting; Andriy Dlygach – founder of the civic platform “New Country”; Nataliya Sitnikova – Advisor on Sustainable Development Program at UNDP in Ukraine; Anatoliy Amelin – Head of Economic Programs at UIF; Igor Shumylo – Advisor at the Kyiv School of Economics.
