President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine has approved the so-called “Steinmeier formula” regarding the elections in the occupied Donbas.

The most difficult thing in this situation is that despite the critical misunderstanding of the concept of the “Steinmeier formula”, the Ze team did not prepare a normal communication before its signing. Vadym Prystaiko has been creating confusion as best he could. I’ll try to quickly explain what has happened and why.

There is no tragedy. But the situation took the wrong tack.

To put it briefly: in 2014-we capitulated (and it was obvious), after that we began to think that we can avoid the surrender, and with the signing of the “Steinmeier formula” – we just confirmed our capitulation in 2014.

Thus, the most profitable strategy is to sheer away. When you are weak, and we are weak, it is better not to engage in direct confrontation. Weaving and gaining time is the best strategy, although we must admit that during 4 years of weaving our opportunities have seriously decreased, as our “partners” reminded us about this. But by signing the formula, we allegedly declared that we are ready to fulfill Minsk agreements. Although in fact we had to come to the situation when everyone would want to enter new agreements.
