On May 30, 229 parliamentarians approved the government bill “On senior secondary education” in the first reading. Now, even if the eighth convocation of parliament will not have time to approve the final version of the document, the next generation of parliamentarians will have to complete this work. The draft law “On senior secondary education” is important in the context of the creation of a regulatory framework for the changes initiated by the concept of “New Ukrainian School” and the law “On education” (2017). The new law contains the concept of “individual educational trajectories”, but this concept needs to be improved, otherwise this law will simply update the old model of the school, and will not open the way for the emergence of a new one.
