Poroshenko’s project on the abolition of deputy immunity was commented by Denys Monastyrskyy, an expert of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, Program for Reforming the Law Enforcement and Judicial Systems.

“In my opinion, such a radical restriction of immunity is inexpedient. The main problem today, actually, is the impossibility of bringing the People’s Deputy to criminal responsibility without the consent of the Parliament.
