Ukraine risks not getting the IMF tranche in 2019 due to the government’s focus on parliamentary elections, which does not allow to fulfill the conditions. “In fact, the revisions will be in the coming months. This May – early June. And the next revision will be in the fall. If we have early parliamentary elections, it is likely that there will be no revision at the beginning of the summer, and when we finish, it will be August. And in August, the IMF goes on vacation, and then there will be no decision. Therefore, it is likely that the IMF may return to the issue of the tranche to Ukraine only at the beginning of next year. That is, the early parliamentary elections may affect the tranche (2.5 billion USD remained.)”.
