The elections in Moldova are a brilliant example of how a wave of romantic idealism and illusions broke when faced a rock of rough and primitive reality.
On the one hand, we have a small part of the progressive society, which believes in the highest justice, the pro-European civilizational value-based course.
And on the other hand, we have a gray, faceless majority, which quietly votes for the “buckwheat”, “one thousand” and “meal-ready-to-eat”, and with the same poker face feels great nostalgia for the Soviet Union, faithfully staring at the TV, watching favorite Russian TV series or talk shows, which have smell of Soviet bologna sausage.
I believe that the Soviet Union prevailed over the minds of the Moldovans.
