Air pollution in Hungary is one of the main causes of premature deaths. According to research, nine million people die each year in the world due to diseases associated with dangerous emissions – smoking causes the same amount of deaths. The number of deaths connected with air pollution in Hungary is considered the second largest in the world after China.
