Nadiya Koval, an expert-internationalist of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, explained why the referendum in Catalonia should be considered illegitimate in the program of Taras Berezovets “Situation” on “Pryamyi” channel.

“As already Margaritis Schinas explained to us and the Prime Minister Rajoy repeated million times, the Constitution of Spain of the 78th year is formulated in such a way that no referendum, which would change the territorial integrity of Spain, cannot be in principle,” the expert emphasized.

According to her words, in order for the referendum for the independence of Catalonia to have a legal value, first of all, it is necessary to change the Constitution of Spain.
