After talks with CEO of Gazprom Alexei Miller in Moscow the Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó said that regardless of whether Russia and Ukraine sign the new transit agreement or not, Gazprom will supply gas to Hungary next year. In addition, the Russian state corporation Rosatom is building 2 new power units in Paks (Hungary). Deputies from the Green Party consider the Russian presence in the region a threat to national security. Hungary celebrates the Day of Polish-Hungarian friendship, holds talks with the UAE and Jordan. Hungary’s economic performance is impressive – last year’s wage growth was the highest in Europe – 11.9%.
