HUNGARY BEGINS TO BUY GAS FROM CYPRUS AND PROTESTS AGAINST “SLAVE LABOR LAW”

The Hungarian Parliament approved amendments to the labour legislation, which were actively opposed by trade unions. This caused riots in the capital and clashes with the police. The government and some journalists drew focus to the fact of presence of groups associated with the Soros Foundation among the protesters.

Against this background, the Hungarian government continues to actively oppose the European migration policy and looking for partners and allies. And at the same time, Hungary is developing its own programmes of support for Hungarians abroad. Budapest hopes that these groups will help to overcome the labor crisis.

And finally, there is an event that can significantly change the gas market in the region – Hungary obtained the consent of Cyprus to supply natural gas from the deposit “Aphrodite”.
