Last week, Poland was focused mainly on domestic politics and the election campaign: there were celebrations of the anniversary of the Constitution, election speeches and media clashes between conservatives and liberals. According to opinion polls the Polish opposition is breathing down the neck of the ruling party before the elections to the European Parliament (May 26). The invitation of the Polish President to the White House in June was positive news for Poland in terms of the foreign policy arena.
