What kind of international cooperation in the field of infrastructure Ukraine needs? What form of interaction with foreign partners is promising, and which one would provoke the “genocide of the Ukrainian people”? The Director of the programme “Infrastructure of the future” of UIF Volodymyr Shulmeister spoke about it.

“The desire of any Western company to enter new markets is great. And the state should be seeking the protection of national interests. Ukraine has not been protecting them for many years. Including the area of infrastructure. National interests should have been protected during the purchase of locomotives from General Electric. If the “cooperation” with foreign companies will take place under the same scheme, I, as a citizen of Ukraine who pays taxes, am categorically against it. And this is one of the reasons why during the presidential election this year I will vote against all those who signed the contract with General Electric.”

The French company Alstom stated that it is interested in cooperation with our country. Urban infrastructure in Ukraine really needs to be updated. But is it necessary to involve foreign specialists?
