The conflict between President Klaus Iohannis (representative of the national liberals) and the social democratic party, which has a majority in Parliament, continues in Romania. The government formed by the social democrats is going to significantly increase the minimum wage, but the party still loses the support of voters.

Meanwhile, the country’s economy continues to grow and requires more workers. That is why the government has increased the maximum number of work and permanent residence permits that can be issued to people from outside the European Union in 2019 by 1.6 times.
