The government of Hungary created the post of Minister, who will be responsible for the development of the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine. Previously, this position was called differently – Minister of cooperation between border areas. Today Hungary has actually appointed a new person, slightly changing the function and the name of this position – the Minister of development of the Transcarpathian region.

Why such name of position? Why now? On the one hand – it is an official who should deal with the Hungarian population in Transcarpathia, on the other hand – itt is a signal in the domestic political field, saying that the government does not let their compatriots down. Also this is a certain provocation in the foreign policy field.
