Netanyahu’s visit is a sign of the desire to strengthen cooperation between our countries in the trade sphere, especially after the signing of the FTA (free trade zone) agreement. The second reason – it is an attempt to strengthen ties with the new president of Ukraine, given his ethnic roots. And the last reason – it is hype before the elections in October.

“We must become Israelis in order to protect our land,” Volodymyr Zelensky said. I do not agree with such statements saying that we should be like Israel. We have to be better than Israel. And not only in the military sphere but in general.

Israel has built a powerful army, but it had the support of a global player represented by the United States and many countries in Western Europe, including the UK. Thus, due to the conditions created there, large sums of money were invested in Israel. We have no such conditions. Being like Israel is a bad idea.
