In August, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Energy Strategy of Ukraine for the period until 2035.
Adoption of the Energy Strategy is certainly a very important step for the Ukrainian on the way to energy security and independence, as well as to the institutional independence of the state.
But does the adopted document correspond to the mandatory attributes of the sectoral strategy? Can it actually be considered as a strategic plan for the country to achieve energy independence, stability and security?
In order to have a practical significance, the Energy Strategy should answer the question of what is the Ukraine’s need for energy resources until 2035.
