The Ukrainian Institute for the Future (UIF) and the Ukrainian Association of Educational Technologies (EdTech Ukraine Association) have concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document was signed by Anatoliy Amelin, Executive Director of UIF, and Nataliia Lymonova, Chair of the Board of the Association.
By 2030, 92 million jobs will disappear worldwide, while automation will create 170 million new ones, according to the World Economic Forum. Automation will affect 40–60% of work tasks. Countries that manage to retrain their workforce in time will gain from this shift; the rest will fall behind technologically. This is less a question of technology than of the education system.
“We have a unique window over the next decade to turn human capital into the foundation of a new economy. Education is the main instrument here, and we need to act faster,” says Anatoliy Amelin.
UIF and EdTech Ukraine will work together on:
- modern educational approaches and technologies;
- the exchange of expertise and analysis;
- support for innovation in education;
- joint initiatives and projects;
- professional dialogue between EdTech, education, business and other participants in the ecosystem.
“Education cannot be treated as a ‘social expenditure line’ or a secondary item in the budget. It is a key driver of human capital, engineering potential, economic resilience and national security,” notes Nataliia Lymonova.
We thank the Ukrainian Association of Educational Technologies for their trust. Partnerships of this kind are what turn individual ideas into systemic change in education. There is joint work ahead.
